DUI Checkpoints & Saturation Patrols in Southern California This Weekend

Law enforcement officers in Southern California are conducting a number of DUI checkpoints and saturation patrols this weekend. Officers will be on the lookout for motorists driving under the influence of alcohol and / or drugs and will also be checking motorists for valid driver's licenses. Los Angeles Area

  • Santa Monica – undisclosed location and time
  • Malibu – 8:00 pm to 4:00 am – within the city limits

DUI Saturation Patrols - 100 (West) El Camino College Police, El Segundo, Gardena, Hawthorne, Hermosa Beach, Inglewood, Manhattan Beach, Palos Verdes Estates, Redondo Beach, Torrance

Orange County

  • Cypress – 6:00 pm to 3:00 am – within the city limits
  • Seal Beach – 6:00 pm to 3:00 am – undisclosed location
  • San Juan Capistrano – 8:00 pm to 12:00 am or later – undisclosed location
  • Garden Grove – 9:00 pm to 3:00 am – in the area of Euclid Street and Stanford Avenue
  • Placentia – DUI Saturation Patrols

Cal State Fullerton Police, Buena Park and Laguna Beach will also have saturation patrols from August 16 through September 2 as part of the Avoid the 38 Campaign.

The cities of Westminster, Laguna Beach and Irvine are planning checkpoints between now and September 2, but have not yet determined dates.

Inland Empire

  • Palm Desert – 7:00 pm to 3:00 am – undisclosed location
  • Redlands – 7:00 pm to 12:00 am – Cajon Street at Cypress Avenue
  • Banning, Beaumont, Hemet and San Jacinto – multi agency task force operation

Northern and Central California

  • Modesto – 9:30 pm to 3:30 am – within the city limits
  • Morgan Hill – 7:00 pm to 2:00 am – within the city limits
  • San Rafael – beginning at 6:00 pm –
  • Oakland – 7:00 pm to 3:00 am – undisclosed location
  • Fresno – 6:00 pm to 4:00 am – undisclosed location
  • Visalia and Kings County – Multiagency DUI Saturation Patrols
  • Santa Maria – 6:00 pm to 2:00 am – undisclosed location
  • Modesto and Oakdale – 8:00 pm to 2:00 am – DUI Saturation patrols

Yuba, Sutter and Colusa Counties will have DUI saturation patrols through Sept 2 within all three counties.
